If you're still waiting for the festival's announcement, take a number. "We'll have more info on the Coachella lineup as soon as we get it," the festival's sponsor, KROQ, announced around 7:45 a.m. Meanwhile, rumors that David Bowie would be reviving Ziggy Stardust flared up on Twitter yesterday. To that, Bowie apparently released a statement calling the rumor "poppycock... while we're about it, David Bowie does not have a Twitter account." UPDATE: LAist reader and twitter user rosyblue just informed us of something we didn't catch on KROQ: "No line up will be announced today. Apparently, they don't have it. Bean said probably tomorrow."

Seriously? KROQ sponsors Coachella now? I know Coachella jumped the shark a few years ago, but now I guess it's officially dead.
I'd officially like to thank David Bowie for bringing back the word "poppy-cock" and think more celebrities should use it when denying rumors.

I just want them to announce so I can stop monitoring KROQ all day long. However, I think I'm safe until tomorrow morning.
so what if KROQ "sponsors" or shows-up or has a booth...like there is any other alt / crap / rock station in LA. I think every station in LA that dosent play hip hop / spanish speakin / talk / easy listening / pop sponsors Coachella. Yes.. all 2.
why listen to kroq when you can hit refresh all day?
also...why is NO ONE mentioning Janes Addiction? I wouldn't want to see Bowie do Ziggy now anyhow...some things are better left in time.

How about U2, Rolling Stones and Janes Addiction as headliners...then I would be sure that it would sell out all 3 days.
$5 says they don't release the lineup until Friday or Monday. Unless they do a Thursday for a Friday on sale.
But they will have layaway...or so they say..

Does anyone know if the persons who found the pig last year get passes or did they not since it was not in one piece.
Just remember...last year, people who rode the Coachella express got VIP upgrades for free...plus there were DJs on the train....it was like makin Coachella 4 days.
