LAst Laugh: This Week in Comedy

A lot of the usual comedy venues are shut down for at least the first part of Sunday because of the Super Bowl, so be sure to keep that in mind if you're looking for chuckles on Sunday. If you're looking for something special during the rest of the week, though, the Comedy Central Stage is doing it up hard this week, and UCB is always on point.

The Armando Show, 9p iO. Get back to improv basics with iO’s Armando Show, and always-solid production that usually features Mike Coleman, Jason Pardo, and some other sizable improv names.
What’s Up, Tiger Lily?, 8p Cuba Libre Bar. The great Tiger Lily show, hosted by Maria Bamford, Melinda Hill, and Natasha Leggero, always has awesome stand up and great guests.

Eric Schwartz, 8p The Improv. Labeled “MySpace’s #1 comedian” (blech), you have to give Smooth E props for his online success with such videos as Crank That Kosha Boy.
Comedy Death Ray, 8:30p UCB. Get in line NOW for Patton’s 40th birthday celebration. Guests include Posehn, Dana Gould, and surely some other greats to help Patton ring in his old age.

Last Day of School, 8p Comedy Central Stage. The guys who share stage time with Convoy take their improv skills to the CC stage. Based on your text messages, Paul Rust, Jim Woods and the gang do it right.
Ditka, 10p Second City. Frank Caeti and the gang perform some great improv, straight out of 1985 Chicago.

Maz Jobrani, 8p Comedy & Magic Club. As a part of the highly-touted Axis of Evil comedy tour, Maz has gotten his own Comedy Central hour and keeps working rooms like this one all over America.

Jimmy Dore, 7:30p The Improv. Known commodity Jimmy Dore headlines with some of great names, particularly JImmy Pardo.

Why aren’t you watching the Super Bowl? I hate you. Go Steelers!
The worst part is, not watching the Super Bowl proves you’re a girl, but you won’t even be as successful a woman as the lovely ladies of Mother F****r!, 7:30p at UCB. These incredible female improvisers will blow your mind out the front of your faces. If you were wearing a football helmet, you wouldn’t have to worry about that, though.
