In what is the third train related death in a week, "authorities say a woman is dead after a Union Pacific freight train crashed into her sport utility vehicle on railroad tracks in Palmdale." Last weekend, two women died in separate incidents in Burbank and Chatsworth when they were hit by Metrolink and Amtrak trains, respectively.

This is literally right around the corner from my house. I live near the Palmdale Metrolink station, which is just south of where this happened.
I can't wrap my mind around why this stuff keeps happening.
Yeah, this is an odd series of crashes in a short period of time.
what is it with the women and trains? i know mental health probably is a factor but seriously this getting to be much.
i think the tracks need security. the metrocrash before this the man who decided to have his car on the tracks, serves as a great reason to protects the track because to the damage they can do to light rail.
