- Yet MORE bad news of the economy and education... UC Regents voted to cut undergrad enrollment by 2,300 students and freeze the pay of top administrators for this year and the next.
- A former LAPD officer pleaded guilty to secretly taking pics of girls ages 4 to 13 for his sexual gratification. Yikes...
- The Orange County Board approved the furlough plan to fix their budget problems. More than 4,000 social services workers will be required to take two weeks off without pay. Union officials are pissed because the county still has around $300 million in reserves and managers are being rewarded with perks.
- Looks like we are stuck with that stupid Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim crap name...
- While the SAG voted to vote on a strike vote... (huh?) the Motion Picture and Television Fund announced that it will kill off 290 jobs by closing its nursing home at the end of the year. Win win...
- Who's gonna take the Governator's place? Ahh... more candidates line up.
- LA County has a list a mile long for uses of the federal stimulus money it hopes to collect. On the other hand, they could just collect that $5 million from the 5th and Hill gang to get things started...
