Red Flags Are Waving

The Los Angeles Fire Department has declared a Red Flag Day Hold on to your hats, Angelenos, it's another blustery day ahead of us on our spot on the globe. We're under a Red Flag warning until 10 p.m. tonight, due to "gusty northeast winds and low humidities." The Santa Ana winds are expected to mellow out as the day progresses, but whip up again overnight. "Wind gusts over 60 MPH can be expected in the mountains of Los Angeles and Ventura counties, with gusts generally between 40 and 55 MPH across favored coastal and valley locations." And it looks like we can put away those scarves, umbrellas, and sweaters once again; looks like temps will be in the upper 70s and low 80s for the next several days.
