OC Pastor on Prop 8: 'We should not let 2% of the population change the definition of marriage'

OC Pastor Rick Warren's past thoughts on Prop 8 earn present scrutiny as inauguration approaches

OC Pastor Rick Warren has been in the headlines recently thanks to his upcoming participation in the inauguration of Barack Obama as President. Warren's support of California's Proposition 8 has tarnished Obama's message of hope for many, and now Warren's past statements about same-sex marriage are receiving even more scrutiny. Today CBNNews.com published a series of quotes taken from two video messages Warren put online in October and December, respectively, for his parishioners at the Saddleback Church.

Warren's thoughts include:

  • “There are about 2% of Americans who are homosexual or gay and lesbian people. We should not let 2% of the population change the definition of marriage.”“This is not even just a Christian issue. It’s a humanitarian and human issue.”

  • “I’m not opposed to gays having their partnerships. I’m opposed to gays using the term marriage for their relationship.”

  • “While I believe the gay view of sexuality is contrary to God’s word, I do believe that God gives us free choice and he gives us a choice to obey his word or to disobey it.”

  • “Some people feel today that if you disagree with them then that’s hate speech. Either if you disagree with them you either hate them or you’re afraid of them. I’m neither afraid of gays nor do I hate gays. In fact I love gays but I do disagree with some of their beliefs.”

Two days before he posted the second video in response to the media's attention on his stance in favor of Prop 8, Warren told an audience at the 8th Annual Convention of the Muslim Public Affairs Council in Long Beach that he loved everyone, including homosexuals. However, he had just prior given an interview in which he put same-sex marriage on par with giving the go-ahead to incest, polygamy, and child abuse.

To be clear, when a Christian says that they love everyone, they are not condoning or loving the act. Homosexuality is on par with incest, polygamy, and pedophila and Christains are called to love them too, but not love or condone the act which is sin.

To further the point, a Christian can engage in the sins of alcohol and drug abuse, it is only the love of God, treatment centers, and other Christians that can pull them out of that darkness.

There is no gay gene or decree from God where he has cursed and doomed some 2% of the population to homosexuality, so it is simply sin which one most repent from. When a man lays down with another man, he is no more compelled to that sin, that a heterosexual male is compelled to lay down with prostitutes and other women besides his wife.

Oh Hai! Well, Douchespeaker is spewing nonsense again, so it must be that time - Time to recap our favorite songs every time he posts, that is.

You know the rules people: Do not engage him in conversation, do not respond to his pathetic attempts to provoke you, do not try to debate him. Instead, everytime douchespeaker posts something, let's list our favorite George michael songs.

I'll start:

Faith.

Oh, who doesn't love Faith? Freedom is decent too, but Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me is an amazing work of art.

Gotta love the video for Freedom. All those hot super models lip syncing to the song in black and white. HOT!

Funny how "Christians" pick and choose their laws. Divorce is a stoning offense, yet I don't see the good Pastor denouncing that.

And what of the non-gay community that support gay marriage? I guess we don't count. Quoting 2% as some sort of standard ignores the fact that Prop 8 barely passed in the grand scheme of things.

But I've noticed, over the years, that truth (real truth) is a very rare commodity with the vocal "Christian" sects.

What are the other (better defined) sins? Lying is one of them. But I guess if the lie is for your cause it's OK.

Funny how NAMBLA is a LGBT organization and the founder of the gay rights activist movement was PEDOPHILE.

It is simply too much for you to respond to truth, so I appreciate the fact that you don't even make feeble attempts any more.

CPUSA member Harry Hay, who is widely accredited as one of the founders of the gay rights activist movement in the United States, in his lifetime was a frequent speaker at NAMBLA conferences. Poet Allen Ginsberg was another famous members of NAMBLA. The International Gay & Lesbian Archives, the world's largest research collection on gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered activism, has recognized several NAMBLA members for their contributions to the gay rights movement. Harry Hay, a perverted pedophile activist in the cause of personal liberation, founded the first lasting gay group in North America, the Mattachine Society, in 1950. He also founded the Radical Faeries, inspired by ideas and rituals of Native American peoples.
Recalling his own experiences as a gay boy growing up in California, Hay spoke out on issues of man/boy love. Harry, founder in 1950 of the first American gay group to survive, the Mattachine Society, cofounder of the Gay Liberation Front, Southern California chapter, in 1969, cofounder of the Radical Faeries in 1979, father of the U.S. gay movement, and grandfatherly icon of gay liberation, died on October 24, 2002, at the age of ninety. Harry was a vocal and courageous supporter of NAMBLA and intergenerational sexual relationships. NAMBLA's goal is to end the extreme oppression of men and boys in mutually consensual relationships by: building understanding and support for such relationships;
educating the general public on the benevolent nature of man/boy love;
cooperating with lesbian, gay, feminist, and other liberation movements;
supporting the liberation of persons of all ages from sexual prejudice and oppression. The North American Man-Boy Love Association (NAMBLA) was founded in December 1978 and is an activist homosexual and pedophilia coalition group. Their primary aim is stated to be the overturn of statutory rape laws and reduction of “age of consent” laws that require a child be of a certain age (which varies by state) before they can agree to sexual intercourse.

"THE TRTUH SHALL SET YOU FREE"

Homosexuals prey on children.
33% of homosexuals ADMIT to minor/adult sex .
There is a notable homosexual group, consisting of thousands of members, known as the North American Man and Boy Love Association ( NAMBLA). This is a child molesting homosexual group whose cry is "SEX BEFORE 8 BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE." This group can be seen marching in most major homosexual parades across the United States.
Homosexuals commit more than 33% of all reported child molestations in the United States, which, assuming homosexuals make up 2% of the population, means that 1 in 20 homosexuals is a child molestor, while 1 in 490 heterosexuals is a child molestor .
73% of all homosexuals have had sex with boys under 19 years of age .
Many homosexuals admit that they are pedophiles: "The love between men and boys is at the foundation of homosexuality" .
Because homosexuals can't reproduce naturally, they resort to recruiting children. Homosexuals can be heard chanting "TEN PERCENT IS NOT ENOUGH, RECRUIT, RECRUIT, RECRUIT" in their homosexual parades. A group called the "Lesbian Avengers" prides itself on trying to recruit young girls. They print "WE RECRUIT" on their literature. Some other homosexuals aren't as overt about this, but rather try to infiltrate society and get into positions where they will have access to the malleable minds of young children (e.g., the clergy, teachers, Boy Scout leaders, etc.). See the DC Lesbian Avengers web page, and DC Lesbian Avengers Press Release, where they threaten to recruit little boys and girls. Also, see AFA Action Alert.

By the way Ross, a douchespeaker must be speaking to a douchebag, which would make you a douche bag. Maybe, I should change my sign in to Douchespeaker, since my goal is to clean out the filth you bring to this board.

It seems to be working. you gotta have "FAITH" and I know that you are "Praying for Time".

Without "Faith" it is impossible to please God. By Faith ye shall be healed.
