Have you ever been channel surfing when suddenly, out of the blue, you find a network you had no idea you were paying $80 a month for?
Usually it'll turn out to be something completely lame like an extra division III high school football channel or C-Span 5, which are total write-offs (unless you're into that sort of thing, and if so, more power to you). But other times you may find something like Mojo, a network devoted to original, high definition programming that just so happened to get lost among the high triple digits.
Among Mojo's arsenal of shows is Three Sheets, where host/professional drinker Zane Lamprey traverses the globe in search of the best drinking cultures. His wry, comedic tone combined with a highly admirable ability to keep it together in front of the camera while completely wasted has afforded Zane not only his own personal dream job, but also a large contingency of fans in the process. Unfortunately for Zane and company, the Mojo network just didn't get the love it truly deserved and had to halt production. That's why we’re employing you, fair LAist readers, to check out a few clips of Three Sheets, and see why the show is worth saving.

Chances are you’re not exactly picking hundred dollar bills off your money tree this holiday season, but if you’re still hesitant to drink flat Coronas at your friend-of-a-friend’s house party, look no further than ZaneFest. For around $200, guests are privy to an open bar (with 450 types of drinks), a gourmet buffet, drinking games, cool prizes, and of course, the chance to go head to head with Mr. Lamprey himself. Not to go all “beerfest” on the classy occasion, but would it be really be beyond us to suggest a game of thumper at 1 am?

By now you should know that we here at LAist like to drink. We also like good TV. And when the two are combined, we just can’t help but show our support. So take some time to seek out some of Mojo's DVD's, ring in the new year, and let the international cocktail consultant continue to go about his daily business. Lucky bastard.

The broadcast Mojo Network has ceased operations, which is a shame as it had several decent shows all in HD.
Yeah... MojoHD stopped broadcasting on TWC early in December. I enjoyed most all of their programming from Three Sheets (of course!), London Live, Timeless, Dr. Danger, etc...
Now TWC added a bunch of channels which makes the loss of MojoHD easier.
Whoah, I can't believe I've never heard of this show! Luckily all of the episodes are up on Hulu :).
Ya, I've been checking it out on Hulu. Pretty fantastic.
show is epic. favorite on tv.
Thanks for posting this Ali
I've been a longtime fan of Zane and Three Sheets. It's a shame that MOJO was shut down, but it's even more of a shame that a network like travel hasn't come in to pick Zane and Pleepleus up.
I went to the Rally/Pub Crawl for Zane last week in LA where we marched through CAA to Beverly hills and back which was pretty sweet so all I can say is SAVE THREE SHEETS!
Reminds me a bit of "The Thirsty Traveler" on travel channel. Probably does not have the education side though. I should check it out.
I do wish they would do new episodes of "The Thirsty Traveler". It was fun to see and learn about all the different types of alcohol out there.

I'm in the Costa Rica episode... as an accidental extra.
