LAist Goes Shopping: Shareen Vintage

How do you insure that you will never show up to a party to find someone wearing the same dress? Buy vintage. In Los Angeles we have loads of choices for finding fun vintage clothes. We had heard of Shareen's but never had a chance to shop there. Then one day a friend suggested a trip to Shareen's instead of lunch. So we drove off through the warehouse district downtown to find it.

We turned onto N Avenue 21 and just as we thought we couldn't possibly be in the right place, there it was. We parked, walked in, and found our new favorite store in LA.

Racks of dresses, rows of cool shoes, tables covered in jewelry. Cue angelic music. Shareen offers amazing things at reasonable prices. The store feels like entering a giant magical closet. Shareen was on hand to help us make our selections.

In addition to her downtown location she has a space on Abbot Kinney in Venice and one in New York. The Venice location is open on Thursday nights for happy hour and is also available for parties.
