Brace yourselves, and bundle up: Another storm's a-comin'!

We're due for another "arctic storm," according to the Daily News, which will be "bringing rain, snow, high winds and the risk of flash flooding, along with perilous road conditions in the Antelope Valley and local mountain areas." The National Weather Service has declared a winter storm warning " in the Antelope Valley and the mountains of Ventura and Los Angeles counties, except the Santa Monica Recreational Area. The warning is scheduled to expire at 8 p.m." which means snow and "treacherous winter driving conditions."

Downhill of the snow the NWS forecasts we'll be hit most likely with more rain, possibly a thunderstorm, and perhaps some hail. However, after this round of rainfall, we're in the clear until next Monday, and our temps will be back on the rise. In the meantime, stick to the city and avoiding driving the snowy roads unless you absolutely have to; Highways 14 and 138 promise to be the worst of our roadways until this system passes. If you still want to see the snow, take a look at our pics of the snow up on Highway 2 taken on Monday.

I'm stuck at work in Santa Clarita and friends have been keeping me updated about the Antelope Valley, where I live. The 14 North is now closed between Soledad Canyon in Santa Clarita & Avenue S in Palmdale. SigAlert.com is reporting quite a few accidents in the Acton area.

http://twitter.com/abc7 just reported a helicopter crashing in the Santa Clarita area. No details at this time though.
