TV Junkie: Christian Slater's Show Bows Out

Christian SlaterTonight ends Christian Slater's foray into network TV, "My Own Worst Enemy". Did any of you out there watch it? To us it seemed to cement the stereotype that Slater has a one-dimensional style even though we know he can do more than that. High budget + Star Name + Low Concept = Failure. Did we need another spy/assassin/crime series? No. There's worse shows out there that could use the ax so let's see them use it. How about Holly Hunter's "Saving Grace"? It's true that she showed off her bare bottom about 1.2x per episode but that shouldn't be enough to save that series. Any suggestions of shows you'd like to see go away?

90210. and in 15yrs i'd like to see it come back as 902024.

"[Am I a creep for not liking Adam Sandler and his films?]"

NO. Well, if you are, then I am too. I can't stand that guy and especially his movies.

to be honest, i lost track of him after the wedding singer. his recent films have sucked. :(

I watched the stupid show briefly. Concept was retarded. A spy whose brain is modified to allow him to live a completely normal life and then snap into spy-guy on command gets messed up, the agency can't correctly switch him on and off. So... what do they do? They let a malfunctioning agent who is completely incapable of serving his mission ... go on missions.

The CIA would have solved the problem by putting a bullet in his head. And thankfully, that's what they did to the show

No you aren't a creep. Some have, but one in particular was quite good, but it seems no one went to see it. Spanglish was excellent and it was one of the few movies Sandler has played a serious role in.

although i generally hate CBS shows... i cant stop watching 'Worst Week'. I didn't even plan on catching it and its slowly working on me.

Linkracer: I'm happy to see you haven't lost your sense of compassion.

thanks for your comments everyone! if only the execs would read this blog

your article is misleading. it is not the season finale for chuck or sarah connor chronicles... there's a difference between season finale and MID season finale.

It's such a silly concept, they should have went for a more comedic angle, instead of trying to be 24 lite.

Heroes needs to die.

It's only season 3 and already it's so convoluted that I couldn't even begin to tell you wtf is going on this season. It's ridiculous.

I'll be honest, Christian Slater in Californication would have been fucking twisted (and awesome)

Duchovny owns that role in a way that Slater never could. AND he isn't old enough to play the character.

You know me Bingos - I'm a sweetheart.
