Throughout the month of December ArcLight Hollywood is offering a series of Monday night 21+ screenings of favorite holiday titles. On tap tonight is Elf at 8 pm with Will Ferrell and Zooey Deschanel singing “Baby, It’s Cold Outside.”

HEEB STORYTELLING*
Heeb Magazine presents “Heeb Storytelling” tonight at M Bar” “The biggest, baddest, sexiest Jewish storytelling series on the planet Earth.” Tonight’s show is hosted by Hosted by Hosted by Brett Gelman (Human Giant, Colbert Report and features seven-minute Jewish stories from Rebecca Adelman (Bravo, MTV, The Comedy Network), Iris Bahr (Curb Your Enthusiasm), Joshuah Bearman (This American Life), Amber Benson (Buffy), Matt Besser (UCB Theater), Mathew Harawitz (The Soup, Last Call) and Samm Levine (Freaks and Geeks). Doors are at 9 pm and tickets are $10.

COMEDY
Largo’s calendar lists the following show tonight: “Funny or Die: A Super Secret Awesome Show.” It starts at 8 pm and tickets are $25. We don’t know much more than that.

FILM:
Laemmle Theatres celebrates its 70th anniversary by screening seven foreign language classics, each one representing a decade of the company’s existence and screening several times per day. Each film will be presented in 35mm – today’s film is The Conformist (1970) at 2, 4:45 and 7:30 pm. All net proceeds from the box office will be donated to the Library Foundation of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Conservancy via the Laemmle Theatres Charitable Foundation.

HAPPY HOUR
The economy’s in the toilet, so you might as well spend wisely. Fred's Mexican Cafe in Pasadena has a happy hour M-F from 4-7 pm with a $3.95 appetizer menu and ½ price off wells, drafts and house margaritas.
