I LOVE L.A.! My Thanksgiving Thanks
No the Lakers aren't physically moving anywhere, however their radio broadcasts will. Beginning next season the Lakers will be moving their radio broadcasts to 710 ESPN. Since the station will be moving their studios to the new LA Live complex next to the Staples Center, the move does make sense. However it is a bittersweet one since AM 570 KLAC has been the Lakers radio home since the 1976-1977 season.
A couple of questions now emerge from this bit of news. First of all is where the Clippers will be headed since their radio home is currently 710 ESPN. Next is what will be the state of the AM 570 "Loose Cannons" show co-host Mychal Thompson who is currently the radio color commentator for the Lakers.
Now I'm a huge sports radio junkie and find most of the programming on 710 ESPN absolutely unlistenable. So it will be very interesting to see how this shakes out in the coming months.

What about the PMS show? If the Lakers radio team is moving to 710, is Money moving too? Does that mean Petros is moving or will he have his own show on 570?
AM sports radio in LA is like a soap opera, too many damn changes.
Jimmy sports talk radio is unlistenable but the PMS show is more entertaining than regular sports talk. You should spend an afternoon an listen to them.
I absolutely abhor ESPN. KLAC is LA's sports station, and ESPN is just a freaking East Coast carpetbagger.
i lovel istening to fusion/PMS while stuck in traffic....agreed. they are the best. i really can't listen to ESPN too often, i just go back to KUSC or NPR if 570 is on commercial break. whats going to happen to the rambis interviews? Feelin' you! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Yeah, this is not good news. Everything on 710 is unlistenable while the KLAC line-up is great (with the exception of the Cannons). PMS makes me laugh out loud in my car...
