Scientologists & Anonymous Celebrate Christmas Together

Although some say Scientologists don't believe in Jesus, the controversial church had members singing Christmas carols on Hollywood Blvd. last Friday night. Additionally, that display on Hollywood Blvd. is L. Ron Hubbard's Winter Wonderland. Here's some of what was seen Friday night when anti-Scientology group Anonymous showed up:

Am I understanding this that they are so ashamed of their religion that they wear V for Vendetta masked to hide their identities?

no bbock, the protesters wear the masks so the scien-zombies cant identify and harrass them.

i love the Lron hoodie in the second photo from the left.

It should be pointed out that the ONLY reason the Scientologists were out there outside the Hubbard Life Museum on Hollywood Blvd. was to disrupt a memorial held for Lisa McPherson, a Scientologist who tried to leave, was brought back and held for 17 days in Clearwater, Florida until she died of dehydration. She was held in a room against her will and, for a time, tied to a bed.

That is why Anonymous was out there that night, to honor her memory. And the cult brings out crappy carolers and signs saying MERRY CHRISTMAS to drown out the Anonymous message.

I think it's worth mentioning that Anonymous was there specifically to commemorate the death of a Scientologist who died in the "care" of her church, not to highlight the obvious contradiction between Scientologist beliefs and their Winter Wonderland display.

The carolers, however, were sent out specifically to disrupt this memorial service. Shame on them.

This link may be helpful in finding out more about Lisa McPherson and why there was a candlelight vigil in her honor that night.

As a side note, the guy pictured in the suit is super hot.

So they don't celebrate Xenumass?

So they don't celebrate Xenumass?

It should also be noted that Scientology will publicly display Christmas celebrations for PR purposes, it's one of the ways they try to sit comfortably in the cradle of the public, especially of the religious.

Hubbard teaches in a high level of Scientology that the teachings of Christ was just an implant from aliens, but only a small percentage of Scientologists know this.

Never the less, this is a priceless photo opportunity and makes a killer Christmas card!
