
As the "Big Three" American automakers and the federal government get closer to determining what kind of bailout--if any--the struggling businesses can receive, things don't seem to be all that much better for overseas rival Toyota.
LAist Featured Photos contributor Jonathan Alcorn, aka Sundogg, posted this photo taken Monday in Long Beach, where hundreds of Toyota imports sit waiting for the call to move to area dealerships. Despite Toyota making 6 of the top 20 cars sold in the US last month, Alcorn notes on his photo that "supplies far outstrip demand amid the nation's worst auto market in more than 25 years."




There are also stockpiles of SUVs "parked" at the Sherman Oaks Galleria parking garage (top level), and at the Macy's in North Hollywood.
It won't be long before we start to see these for cars:
