Villaraigosa Will Not Join Obama Administration

obama_villaraigosa4.jpgMayor Villaraigosa said he and President-Elect Barack Obama had a "conversation" in mid-November about joining the administration, but said he wanted to stay in Los Angeles and focus on his reelection campaign and other city issues. "I'm honored and flattered to have been considered for an appointment in the Obama administration," Villaraigosa told The LA Times. "I made it clear I love what I do. And I feel that at this moment in my life, this is the job in which I can best serve my city and country." It has been widely speculated that Villaraigosa will run for Governor, but he denies that rumor as well.

What Villaraigosa means to say is that Obama told him he's done next to nothing for the City of Los Angeles and so he didn't deserve a spot in his administration.

This is good for the Obama administration. Not so much for L.A.

Please God do not let this man be Governor.

how many days did he spend on the road campaigning for hillary in the middle of our worst fiscal crisis in ten years? like 60+ out of 80? He is a piss poor mayor and doesn't deserve a role in the new administration.
