The Sonic Boom as heard in Santa Monica
"We usually get a couple of calls," Cecil Manresa of the LA Fire Department told CBS2. One call today after Space Shuttle Endeavour approached California causing two sonic booms was a resident in Studio City who said "their apartment house had suffered an explosion, but arriving firefighters found nothing except people who had not heard the warning."
For those who were savvy to what was happening, they got out the video cameras and let them roll. Some more videos are below.

In Stevenson Ranch of the Santa Clarita Valley. This has the best clueless neighbor quote: "What was that?! My heart is pounding."
Jeff from SCVTalk was in Newhall--also in the Santa Clarita Valley--felt his house shake. "It set off car alarms," he wrote.

So I've been sitting next to a wall facing west about 5x now when the shuttle comes in. I always think some 300lb man has slammed into the wall or it's an earthquake when the shuttle breaks the barrier.
So I've always wondered if I'm outside if pressure will hit my chest.
No such luck. I heard the boom, but felt nothing so I didn't think it was the shuttle. :(
