The fact that Jason Bentley is being asked about Justice (or a comment he made about them) proves that the hype is outta control.

I like justice, even seen them in concert several times. But i have to be honest, whenever i go out and hear "D.A.N.C.E.", i uncontrollably groan. It's like, there are other artists djs can spin. But it's such an obvious crowd pleaser to play justice (daft punk too).Perhaps, i go out too much and/or expect to much of djs.

Justice have not revolutionized anything. They are the new trance- cheesy dance music for beginners.

I like both Jason Bentley and Justice, but I believe that Justice's real genius is not in their original tunes, but in their remixes - even their remixes of their own material are superior to the originals in every case. (Cf., their sawtoothed, distorted remix of "D.A.N.C.E." and the incredible "Phantom 1.5" from the new live album.) And they mangle a crushing beat better than anyone since the original Art of Noise. All that said, there's no one better for this job than Bentley. Congrats!

I second everything fac21 just said, but I must add the fact that they've revolutionized electronic music into something that you can rock to vs. dance to. Calling them icons of the hipster scene is an injustice (pun intended) to all the genres the've transcended.

Typical he'd call the MGMT remix promising...could that get any more "hipster"?

I will judge Mr. Bentley on one factor and one factor alone: his delivery of the phrase "Coming up in the eleven o'clock hour..."

regarding the "unplugged" equipment that justice was using:

http://www.residentadvisor.net/news.aspx?id=9940

jason bentley, if you are judging justice based on their album and one remix, you are really missing out. if you have seen their live album set, you would know why they headline festivals. it is mindblowing. you can hear it on their live album "a cross the universe."

jealousy will get you nowhere!
