Actually, samkim, I have to ask when was the last time you drove an American car?

I had a Jeep Wranger from 1993-2001 and I had very few problems with it. Probably the biggest was an exhaust problem. My boss has a Ford Escape Hybrid which he loves.

Honestly, part of Detroit's problem is marketing. When you think "fuel efficient vehicle", do you think of any American car? Even though the Chevy Malibu gets better gas mileage than the Honda Accord?

they aren't even American!!! Saab? auto plants in mexico? Toyota has plants in America too, they need to stop spewing this nonsense about buying American. they could just make good cars...and stop overproducing. which will lead to a job loss anyways. they need to file for bankruptcy and fix that mess from the bottom up. and fire those CEOs sans severence packages/golden parachutes.

lets put this into perspective. guess which one is Congress and which one represents the CEOs...

Son: Mom, can I borrow 5 million dollars?
Mom: 5 Million!? What do you need that for?
Son: I'm not making a lot of money right now.
Mom: What are you going to do with the 5 million?
Son: I don't really know...but I think it will help?
Mom: I won't give you anything until you tell me what you do with it.
Son: I don't want to tell you...but if you don't things will be terrible!
