The Los Angeles Kings new alternate jersey was revealed on Saturday night as the Kings faced the Colorado Avalanche at Staples Center. The team will wear the jerseys for limited number of home games this season. The new look is silver and black with a simple bold logo that harks back to the old Gretzky heyday from the 80's. One good thing about the striking new logo is that, with the prominent "LA" featured, nobody will be asking how things are in Sacramento when you wear it.
LA got off to a rough start in the game as Milan Hejduk and Wojtek Wolski scored goals for the Avalanche, but the Kings came roaring back with a goal late in the second period and two more to open the third to take a 3-2 lead. Colorado's Paul Stastny tipped in a shot with under five minutes left to sent the game to OT and a shootout, that the Avalanche won for their eighth consecutive shootout victory.
The Kings will hit the road for the next two games in Alberta, Canada, returning to Staples Center on Saturday.

Love the bold logo. The black looks hot in pics but I hope I'll get to see this logo on a non-black jersy some day. A pink and black on for the females would be pretty cool...hot pink for sure.
