- LA smarts on display again as not one but TWO UCLA students were named Rhodes Scholars. Even more impressively the students were athletes who played Rugby and Football. Congrats to them and UCLA!
- More UCLA smarts on display... Researchers have not only discovered why people who drink red wine are at less risk of heart disease, they may have discovered a natural substance that can help reverse the effects of Alzheimer's.
- In a really nice show of appreciation, Universal Studios is offering firefighters free admission. A great way to say "Thanks"!
- If you believe that you may have been a victim of theft by the LAX baggage handlers, the LAPD are placing the items on display for you to recover them. Items include, lappies, jewlery, digital cameras, cell phones and top-shelf handbags. - KNBC is saying that the Governator is considering tripling the car tax to help with the state budget deficit. What's crazy is that it was that same idea that got former Governor Gray Davis in trouble.
- Still recovering from that horrible crash that seriously injured him and took two of his friends' lives, Travis Barker is suing Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co and the maintenance company of the plane. His suit claims that the companies didn't maintain the plane properly.
