I wouldn't eat it, but only because I'm a vegetarian and not that into Thanksgiving foods in the first place. (This from a girl who'se serving a tofurkey-sandwich-and-sweet-potato-fries-thanksgiving-lunch on Thursday.) There's an article in Slate this week about how no one (aside from my Dad, really) actually prefers turkey to any other poultry.

I'm not inclined to want Thanksgiving turkey sushi, though I wouldn't refuse it. My reaction is basically "What's the Point?" How is the food enhanced by this preparation? I mean, rice and mashed potatoes, with gravy drizzled over it? Ehh... But saying "A sushi restaurant has no business preparing turkey," is just wrong, and kinda smacks of some weird culturalism or something. If he's got the vinegared rice, I'll leave it to the sushi chef to determine what he serves with it (Hey! California roll!). I may not eat it, but he can serve it. And actually, I can imagine some turkey sushi which might be. Just not served with gravy, potatoes and pumpkin soup.
