Tonight alternative rock band Jane's Addiction will be performing the rather small room at El Cid. Swedish rockers the Sounds are taking over the spacious and recently renovated confines of the Palladium. Local indie rock band West Indian Girl will be continuing their month-long residency at Spaceland. And, lastly, if you're interested in tacos and rock, then head over to Señor Fish in Downtown to see the Mormons and the Health Club. But we strongly suggest experiencing Spanish artist El Guincho, who will be emanating feel-good vibes at the Echo.

Oh also the Kaiju Big Battel is canceled! It broke my heart.
The Kaiju Commissioner made this statement:
"This decision to cancel the Kaiju Big Battel events in Los Angeles and San Francisco WAS NOT made by Kaiju Big Battel. If we had it our way, we would be crushing your city this week.
We thank you very much for your desire to support Kaiju Big Battel. Our fans are truly important to us, and we're sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused them. We hope to make it back to your city soon."

El Guincho at the echo!?!? right on!!!! yes!
The band Whales is also playing at Echo Curio tonight at 9. They're a 2-piece with former members of Black Dollar and The New West. They're pretty awesome. I'm in City of Progress, and I highly recommend coming early for them.

Jane's Addiction are horrible live anyways, so don't be heart broken if you can't get in.
They were amazing live back in 1990/91 but that was a loooong time ago. When they played the Palladium with the Pixies it was off the hook. Ah, nostalgia...
