I'll take a Benz off their hands.

While I worry about the validity of my warranty if GM goes under, half of me doesn't care because I am never buying an American car again.

The private jet thing is easy to pick on, but I think the real point here is these are a bunch of greedy bastards who were living in denial about their unsustainable business models, and are now begging for even more money after they were already given 25 billion in low interest loans. If we let this government bail out trend seep into every sector it's going to grossly distort the market place. On this matter I can agree with the libertarians.

The big 3 have a history of squashing smaller businesses and innovative ideas so they can go about their plans undisturbed, and now they suffer for their backward ways. The big 3 need to shape up, or ship out.

Oh come on now, they fly on private jets because it's for SECURITY purposes! The head guys can't be sitting in COACH with us common folk! What if the commercial plane gets hijacked or goes down? How can the world survive? That's why they have to fly in a private jet - so they can have their privacy, travel when they are ready, and not have to sit between a fat person and their crying children.

Since I have crucial role in security here, I think I may have to implement this logic when I travel to our remote branches.

"There's a delicious irony in seeing private luxury jets flying in to Washington, D.C., and people coming off of them with tin cups in their hands saying that they're going to be trimming down and streamlining their businesses"

Yes! Awesome. Glad at least some people in Congress have what it takes to call these greedy bastards out. The automakers have reaped what they have sown with an unsustainable business model that was waiting for the right moment to blow up in their face.

Wow, those Benzes look sad. So I guess the hot color for cars this season is limited to grayscale?

I feel like I should be driving a hearse around or something.
