Wildfires the Sayre Fire, triangle or complex freeway firesThey're still burning, but things are calming.

The Sayre Fire that began Friday night in Sylmar and has moved up into the Angeles National Forest and into the Santa Clarita Valley is 85% contained as of 8 a.m. after burning 11,234 acres. No new structures are reported to have been destroyed or damaged leaving the unfortunate total at 489 homes. The cause is still unknown.

Full containment of the Triangle Complex Fire is expected today. The fire, mostly concentrated in Orange County burned past four county lines scorching 28,889 acres and destroying 155 homes. Authorities suspect that a catalytic converter of a vehicle's exhaust system caused the conflagration.

The Tea Fire in Montecito and Santa Barbara was contained yesterday. After 10 "young men" had a bonfire, the blaze began on Thursday night leaving 210 families without homes and 1,940 acres of land burned.
