With No Water to Fight Fires, Homes Burned & Lawsuits are Likely

Firefighters had no water in Yorba Linda to fight firesA broken pump at the Yorba Linda Water District system left firefighters with no water pressure to fight homes ablaze in the tony Hidden Hills community of Yorba Linda. "They're are going to be some lawsuits," reported Rick Lozano on Fox 11 News this morning.

Firefighters tried to save what they could by hauling water by truck to the area and fighting the blazes with a brought-in water pump, but the time consuming process was too slow, Lozano said. Embers flew from house to house destroying or damaging them.

In total, around 120 homes were destroyed in the Triangle/Freeway Complex Fire that stretched across the lines of four counties and burning around 29,000 acres.
