- A California man has been indicted on 13 charges stemming from anthrax scares across the country. He was freed (freed really???) after ponying up a $25,000 bond.
- We dont know if he is the one responsible however for another envelope sent to a Mormon temple in Westwood though. The Federal B.I. said that the envelope was also a hoax.
- If you saw a bunch of fighter jets cruising over Hollywood today, it was not an attack or anything like that. It was just a flyover for LA's Air Force Week.
- In the "No-We're-Not-Joking" Department... A man robbed a restaurant at gunpoint... after finishing his meal. He ordered, ate, went to the register to "pay" and then pulled out his piece and got off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
- The United Way of Greater LA is sponsoring another HomeWalk tomorrow. Around 5,000 are expected to participate. Last year, 3,000 walkers raised over $500,000 to get people off the streets.
- Just another public service announcement courtesy of the LA County Sheriffs... If you are caught not wearing seat belts, you WILL get busted. That includes the kiddies not in child safety seats. First time your busted; pay between $80 and $91 bucks for adults not in seat belts and $330 to $410 for every child under 16 not strapped in safely. Click It or Ticket indeed...
- In more "The Young have to Pay" news... BOTH the UC and CSU systems are thinking about raising tuition. Since the state government is cutting funding, the money has gotta come from somewhere. Good Luck Kids!
- Finally, more reasons LA rocks... Not only do we get a poet laureate named here, we also have the Uber-eBAY vendor. Poetry and positive feedback... we got it all!
