  • An Orange County pastor has been accused of molesting teenage girl. He apparently kissed her on the mouth "passionately" on a number of occasions. Ugh...
  • The case of the LA County fire official's beating of a puppy, which was put to sleep last week, has now been sent to the District Attorney's office. Assistant LA County Fire Cheif Glynn Johnson hit a 6-month old puppy multiple times in its skull claiming it was in "self defense".
  • OK, so it's not necessarily against the law, but pet-safety backers are telling people to not drive with your pet in your lap. The police say that you should just leave the lil' doggy at home or strap him down. Do you think it should be against the law for doggies to help steer?
  • It's never too early to start thinking about the California Gubernatorial race in 2010. People are lining up to take on the Governator.
  • Ahh those instigators photographers of TMZ are at it again. Brad Garrett, the big actor with the big voice, was captured getting into it with paparazzi outside of Dan Tana's restaurant.
  • Land Ho! A 46-foot boat ran aground on a state beach near LAX. Apparently the anchor broke, and winds blew the boat ashore with its captain who lives on the boat. He was unhurt, but the boat is still stuck.
  • That crud in the air is more than just an ugly brown haze over our skyline, pollution in the city is costly. About $28 billion lost yearly.
  • Finally, please take tomorrow's earthquake drill seriously people. Experts are saying to be prepared to be without help; that includes food, water, power and any medical aide, for days or even weeks.
  • Also... Free Tix Time! - The Greek Theatre is closing down for the winter season and LAist has tickets for their last show featuring local jazz pianist Brad Mehldau, the McCoy Tyner Trio and the Ellis Marsalis Quintet. Just go over to the contest page and tell us what you think President Obama's top priorities should be when he enters office.
