Starbucks is not doing so well, but McDonalds is (hey, cheap coffee!). And what is better than cheap? Free. The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is doing an "open hours" of some sort which basically means complimentary 12 oz. holiday themed coffees, teas, lattes and expressos at all their California storefronts. If you plan taking them up, the offer is only good beween 5 and 8 p.m. tonight (but some stores are doing their own thang).

Some Coffee Beans, like the one in my building at work, are actually doing this promotion from 3-5pm today, AKA right now.
i went to cash in on my free drink at the CB inside the Ralphs in Santa Monica and the counter girl told me that they only offered a free small coffee. She said that they were a 'franchise' CB and that they weren't participating in this offer. Pretty lame and false advertising if you ask me. Maybe McDonalds will actually win this coffee war. Their Iced Coffee is pretty damn good.
McDonald's coffee tastes watered down and the caramel flavored one tastes like caramel popcorn jellybean (which I don't enjoy)
Why did I have to get addicted to Starbucks? :(
