Time to start getting in the mood for the Holiday season. The Hermosa Beach Playhouse presents Jeff Goode's dark comedy The Reindeer Monologues. The comedy is centered around scandalous accusations of corruption and inappropriate behavior at the North Pole and the media frenzy it generates. Through November 16th. ADULTS ONLY.

ART
Gracias a la Vida, a group show featuring paintings and works on paper inspired by Chilean poet, artist and musician Violeta Parra. The name translates to thanks to life and is a reference to one of Parra's most famous songs by the same name. Through December 7th. TALK
L.A. Prosecuting Attorney Vincent Bugliosi, author of Helter Skelter and Outrage presents his latest work, The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder. The famed attorney-author puts forth the case against George W. Bush, holding him responsible for the deaths of thousands of soldiers as a result of the Iraq war.

FILM
Italian director Matteo Garrone will provide the introduction for the screening of his powerful film Gomorrah. Winner of the Grand Prize at the Cannes Film Festival, Gomorrah is a riveting look at the real-life Camorra crime family. Check out the preview here.
