I hate to say it but I knew 8 would pass simply because of what happened with 187. I was an idealistic undergrad back then and thought no way would it pass. Suprise! Hopefully 8 will go the same way...

anyone remember prop 187? got 58% of the popular vote and was eventually overturned by the court. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proposition_187 i actually voted yes for that, but so did 58% of us back in '94.
