L.A.'s native son, Beck, headlines at Nokia Theatre Club Nokia. The alternative/indie rock star closes out his U.S and Canada tour in support of his latest CD Modern Guilt. Coincidently, the release of Modern Guilt also marks the end of Beck's contract with DGC Records and it might be some time before he puts out a new release. 7 pm // Nokia Theatre at L.A. For the philanthropist in you, the Geffen Playhouse hosts Acts of Love: Miracle Workers, a collection of readings and musical performances. The event benefits Autism Speaks and features a number of celebrities, including Bill Pullman, Joe Mantegna, Camryn Manheim and many others. Ticket price includes admission to the after-party.

LECTURE

FILM
The Redcat Theatre hosts a special event tonight, as Robert Breer joins them for a celebration of his work. Moving Figures: The Animated World of Robert Breer features 14 restored masterworks dating back to 1956 and includes pieces such as Recreation, Eyewash, and Fist Fight.
