Last night's protest, initially assembled by ANSWER LA, moved from Silver Lake to Hollywood and Highland by 10 p.m., closing down Hollywood Boulevard for some time, and continuing all the way to West Hollywood down Sunset Boulevard via Highland. An estimated 10,000 people took part in the protest, and although there was a definite police presence, no arrests have been reported.
Last night's events mark the fourth consecutive day of protests against the passing of Proposition 8, which was confirmed on Wednesday with a slim margin of victory. Today the protests continue, focusing not only on rallying the support of those already against the prop but also on targeting churches who heavily supported and funded the Yes on 8 campaign, emphasizing a religion-based definition of marriage and the erroneous claim that there exists an alleged danger of homosexuality being "taught" in public schools.

If Prop 8 made your friend or any one's friend a SECOND CLASS CITIZEN, then they always were, and it is a self-fulfilment. I guess, you mean, that for four months your friend was not a second class citizen, which means that you think your friend was all his/her life a second class citizen.
Also, in your mind, you think that throughout all of man's existence gays were second class citizens. Accept in Sodom and Gomorrah, and oh wait, we know hat happened there. Oops you did it again.
