LAPD handled the crowds much better than LBPD. LAPD just let us protest until we ran out of energy. LBPD could have done the same, we would have been out of there an hour earlier if they just let us walk around till we pooped out. And the Long Beach Pride staff that kept yelling at us to stay on the sidewalk was no better. They did not seem to understand that the event was not theirs to control, it was all of ours.

The cops really escalated tensions. They busted out the riot gear and threatened arrest and "use of force" on a completely peaceful crowd. Shame on them.

"suspicion of inciting a riot" That's bullshit, the only thing they were guilty of was refusal to disperse as ordered.
