PAPER's 24-Hour Department Store

Amazing things are always popping up in LA: great stores, incredible art, cool architecture, delicious food, performances by the best musicians, and more. Tonight all of those elements come together at the PAPER 24-Hour Department Store and LAist can't wait to check it all out.

The event features more than thirty designers, artists, and chefs who will be setting up booths throughout PAPER's pop-up storefront space. LA based architecture firm, Johnston Marklee has transformed the space into glam construction site made of chain link fence.

The soundtrack for this energy packed shopping experience will be provided Converse. Twenty-four bands will play in twenty-four hours. Shoppers will be treated to performances by several musicians including The Lady Tigra, Entrance, the Chapin Sisters, and Daedelus.

LAist is looking forward to seeing STRANGEco's exclusive pre-sale of their new King Ken mini series. Katy Rodriguez of Resurrection and Tony Alva of Alva Skates will be there. Welcome Hunters, located in Chinatown, will also be offering some of their latest finds. Is it 6 p.m. yet?

The PAPER pop-up store opens today at 6 p.m. at 8873 Sunset Boulevard and ends tomorrow at 6 p.m. Click here for a list of participating artists and designers.
