Yoko Ono's Wish Trees to Find New Pasadena Home

This Sunday, the wishes will be separated, or "harvested," from Yoko Ono's Wish Trees, but the 21 crape myrtle trees will stay in Pasadena. As the 80,000 wishes make their way to Iceland, the trees will find a new home at the Arlington Garden, a demonstration Mediterranean climate garden in Pasadena.

Since August, visitors to One Colorado have written over 80,000 wishes in Yoko Ono's project. They will soon find their home Videy Island, off the coast of ReykjavÌk, Iceland where a John Lennon memorial is located. LAist previously wrote about the background of this project and many individual wishes can be seen close up here.

I believe it's Crape Myrtle A.K.A. Crepe Myrtle not crate myrtle.

Yoko is a fraud. The reality is she is a cut throat business woman with little real regard for her bogus earth mother pose. Oh, and her music totally blows.

Yoko rules. The BEATLES were a fraud. THEIR music totally blows. I am pro-Yoko because she broke up the stupid Beatles, and because this project is COOL. So there.
