’80s FILM CLASSICS*: LACMA and AFI FEST 2008 are screening the films of French filmmaker Arnaud Desplechin. “His thrilling, unpredictable films are generous mélanges of exuberant comedy, alert realism, philosophical probing, behavioral drama, Greek tragedy and breathless technique.” Up tonight at 7:30 pm at LACMA is La Sentinelle, a geo-political espionage thriller.

CABARET: Who says Halloween had to end on Friday night? Lili Barsha brings her “Haunted Cabaret” and “Election Eve Brew Ha-Ha!” to the MET Theatre tonight at 8 pm.
