Halloween @ The Farmer's Market

The slow realization that not a single Halloween party provided refreshments on Friday led to a stop at The Gumbo Pot, which in turn led to the serendipitous discovery of a total rager at the Farmer's Market at Third and Fairfax. Who knew?

It was family-friendly, and the booths served food until at least 10pm. The bar also served into the night, which made for some serious partying. "Mr. Rogers" won the extremely close costume contest and cover band "Six Fingers" rocked the house with Halloween classics by the likes of Black Sabbath and the BauHaus. Best of all, it was not necessary to buy a bottle of Grey Goose just to sit down. A catfish po' boy. red beans and rice and a beer were under 20 bucks.

Nice photos Elise. That chicken's got the cutest face...don't know about the rest of the bits though.

Damn!!! I already have clown issues. That did not help!
