If it isn't too cold, cloudy, or rainy, you may find yourself at the beach over the next few days, but be advised: "Because of current rainfall, the County Health Officer is cautioning residents who are planning to visit Los Angeles County beaches to be careful of swimming, surfing, and playing in ocean waters around discharging storm drains, creeks, and rivers. Bacteria, debris, trash, and other public health hazards from city streets and mountain areas are likely to enter ocean waters though these outlets." The Department of Public Health has put this advisory into place until November 5th, but may extend it if the rains continue. Other parts of the beach where drains are not discharging remain exempt from the advisory. To learn about beach conditions on any day, you can visit the Department's beach info website.
