I&apos;m sure if you took a poll of many voters before the victories of the civil rights movement, there would have been a majority against expanding civil rights. That doesn&apos;t change the fact that sometimes we as a culture need to come to grips with accepting minorities as equals, and accept those of a different belief.

This isn&apos;t about forcing views on anyone, it&apos;s a governmental acknowledgment of marriage, which is separate from religion. Maybe you&apos;ve heard of that whole separation of church and state thing. Or maybe you didn&apos;t get the memo written in 1787. If you don&apos;t want to enter a gay marriage, or attend a gay wedding, no one is going to force you to.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
