- No that wasn't a hallucination this morning, it actually rained. We are gonna need a lot more days like though as the state may be facing a major water shortage next year which could lead to rationing.
- Of course, at the same time as the city is crying water shortage, they will send officials to cite people for planting drought resistant plants. Great times, great times...
- An LA commission voted to make Griffith Park a historic-cultural monument. The nearby Hollywood sign, Griffith Observatory, Greek Theatre and L.A. Zoo are some of the sights that supporters say make it historically significant. We agree...
- While Griffith Park is getting city love however, preservationists are fighting to keep other historical buildings from being lost forever.
- If you were planning on catching Neil Young tonight at the Forum... tough Tootsie Rolls. He is canceling tonight's show in order not to cross the picket lines.
- Two Denny's restaurants were robbed today and investigators are trying to see if they were related. A Denny's in Santa Clarita and the other in Sylmar were robbed in similar fashion; three men, one armed with a handgun. They apparently made of with several thousand dollars. Luckily no one was hurt.
- Congratulations to Courtney Chow Lee of Arcadia High School! She was officially crowned Queen of the 120th Tournament of Roses at the Tournament House. (photos)
- Congratulations are also due to a sea turtle that was set free after being trapped in an intake channel.
- Finally, brace yourself for the annual Halloween Bash in West Hollywood tonight. Sights of some of the best (and worst?) costumes will abound from Doheny to La Cienaga. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
