This minimalist costume might be found at the West Hollywood Halloween Carnaval tonight. LAist reader BRATmix explains on his blog: "I had a few ideas for a costume, but in the end, I decided to get political. Photoshop + Printer + Wilton t shirt iron-on paper = political message." Awesome.

shockingly, this west hollywood resident is blind to the effects of increased taxes, faulty stimulus packages and government handouts on the economy of this country.
adam smith and the free market economy is a thing of the past november 5th.
he/she will be lucky with a job next year and not standing in line for soup.....
i am moving outta this country - somewhere warm and cheap and happier.
yeah really...
If I didn't love my job I'd move out of the country too.
*cough*
I am a guy. ;)
Thanks for the shout out Zach...and the typo fix. "Her blog"...hahaha!
Hi, ven nm- Here's a nice quote from your hero Adam Smith in "The Wealth of Nations" (1776):
The necessaries of life occasion the great expense of the poor. . . . The luxuries and vanities of life occasion the principal expense of the rich, and a magnificent house embellishes and sets off to the best advantage all the other luxuries and vanities which they possess. . . . It is not very unreasonable that the rich should contribute to the public expense, not only in proportion to their revenue, but something more than in that proportion.
Wow, even that proto-capitalist believed in reasonable progressive taxation!
greatgatsby - meant the reference to adam smith in regards to what looks like a government centralized/keynesian economic policy of the administration.
i have never experienced stagflation - i am kind of excited for myself and all my friends to be out of work at the same time.
