TV Junkie: Tuesday

Tina FeyWith less than a week to go before the election, Barack Obama is taking the time to appear on Comedy Central's "Daily Show" tomorrow (Wednesday) night. Is this the official referendum that the so-called fake news show is in fact a leading source of news with an intelligent and politically aware viewership? We're talking about ourselves here, of course, and it's always necessary to stroke the ego.

There ain't much on TV tonight - if there's something you are going to watch and you don't see it listed below, please put it in the comments and explain why it should be listed. Even the movies on TCM, HBO, etc. have all been repeated about a jillion times this year.

Aw, no love for the sci-fi ridiculousness that is Fringe?

I know you guys usually don't list sporting events unless they're huge, but there is a lot of hype surrounding the 2008-09 Lakers season. It's opening night for them and the NBA.

7:30PM - TNT Portland Trailblazers (and the debut of Greg Oden) @ LA Lakers. Plus Inside the NBA (the best show on TV) will follow it.

Yes, no love for Fringe apparently, even though I've missed the last two weeks and not really cared. However, there's nothing like watching The Biggest Loser days before gorging on Halloween candy and a metric ton of munchies at 3 in the morning.

Fringe is a repeat tonight. boo.

Yeah, Fringe is on a mini hiatus for two weeks, I believe. Even though it's starting to bore me to tears, I will still watch.

yeah, didn't list "Fringe" because it's a repeat - my bad for not listing season opener for the Lakers and the banner raising.

thanks for all your comments!
