Santa Monica Shooting Puts 2 in Hospital

On Sunday night, multiple gunshots were heard near Kansas Ave. and Cloverfield Blvd. in Santa Monica prompting police to respond to the area where they found a 17-year-old Hispanic male with a gunshot wound. Hiding inside a nearby apartment building, another shooting victim was found. A wanted parolee and his girlfriend, who barricaded themselves in a room, were also in the unit, but later gave themselves up peacefully. Both shooting victims were transported to the hospital and police believe that the suspects were in a silver vehicle that fled the scene.
