<p>Actually, I got a mailing that said side street permit requirements are being liftedy. Which sucks for us residents, but should help in the area, I suppose. Should be crazier than normal this year, being on a Friday.

Yep - found on the WeHo government website:
"The City of West Hollywood will suspend permit parking for the Halloween Carnaval on Friday, October 31, 2008 from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2008. Halloween Carnaval visitors are asked to observe the boundaries of West Hollywood, if parking occurs in the City of Los Angeles, all parking restrictions must be observed."</p>
