Last Saturday, locals Alex & Sam (MySpace) and Jessica Fichot (MySpace) performed at Hotel Cafe in Hollywood.
It was the last local show this year for self-described "chanteuse, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist" Fichot -- covered previously here -- as she will be in China (performing in Shanghai) in November and France in December.
Meanwhile, this year has been quite memorable for Alex & Sam's Samantha Sidley, from successfully auditioning in January for American Idol, to performing four month-long residencies with her band at Tangier in Los Feliz, to sharing the stage for the recent "Gimme a Steak" Cocktail Hour with The Bird and the Bee's Inara George and Greg Kurstin as well as Obi Best's Alex Lilly, Azure Ray's Maria Taylor, and Rilo Kiley's Blake Sennett.
As for upcoming local shows, Alex & Sam return to Tangier next Wednesday.
