  • Members of the Mongol Motorcycle Gang got duped by their "brothers" (undercover ATF agents) in a country-wide raid attempting to dismantle the gang. The three-year investigation known as Operation Black Rain piled up evidence to arrest members on racketeering, including "charges of murder, attempted murder, assault, as well as gun and drug violations."
  • A Carson man got life without parole for fatally shooting two gas station attendants back in December 2006. His two accomplices received 50 years to life.
  • Parents of infants dwelling in Delta Enterprises cribs, listen up! The company has recalled 1.6 million cribs due to faulty safety pegs that has already caused two infant fatalities.
  • LA Times employees aren't the only newspaper employees losing their jobs. Dean Singleton, who owns most of the Los Angeles-area newspapers is saying he may move his operation out of the country to cut costs. He has already moved pre-production work to India which cut costs by 65%. Business is business.
  • Two Fullerton teens were arrested last night for two strong-arm robberies. The 17-year-old assailant was taken to Juvenile Hall on suspicion of robbery and the 18-year-old, Jose Gonzalez, was booked at Fullerton City Jail on suspicion of robbery.
  • The Orange County toll road agency is seeking a $1.1-billion loan from the federal government because nobody is using their toll roads. Steve at the Bottleneck Blog offers his solution - lower rates and we may use your roads...
  • Two shootings in South LA left two dead and one injured last night. Police believe one shooting to be gang related while the other was most likely random.
