- The largest AIDS fundraiser in Southern California kicked off this morning. Over $60 million has been raised by AIDS Walk Los Angeles since 1985.
- Today was also a busy day for the LA Coroner as 5 murders in under 24 hours kept personnel working.
- Seems as if wearing an anti-Obama shirt in school could land you in hot water. The school says its a safety issue, the student, her parents and the ACLU say its a First Amendment issue...
- SAG members have taken another step closer to striking. If 3/4 or the members vote to take labor action, it would a short step to authorizing a strike.
- Tough times have affected many here and around the country. Colleges and universities are also feeling the crunch with an increase in demand for financial aid coupled with a decrease in endowments including grants.
- Hundreds came out to remember John Robert McGraham, the homeless man who was set afire. Friends and family including other homeless people came out to pay their respects and wonder why anyone would do such a thing to someone.
- Finally, a woman in Palos Verdes was forced to remove over $50,000 worth of Halloween decorations from a strip in front of her home. Another case of Halloween party pooping by "The Man"? Maybe she could move to Marky Mark's spot and throw the party... it's apparently up for sale.
