Caption used for image on right: 'Obama talks about all those presidents that got their names on bills. If elected, what bill would he be on ????? Food Stamps, what else!'
First, we have the Sacramento County Republican Party, who recently had to remove certain images from their site, like the one at left, because they were all offensive and stuff.
And in the other corner, the Chaffey Community Republican Women Federated of San Bernardino County, whose newsletter featured a cartoon depicting Obama as a food stamping-using, Kool-Aid sipping, watermelon-tasting kind of guy. One member told the LA Times that "everyone eats those foods, it's not a racial thing." Oh, okay... then.
So who did it worse? Or are they both as equally bad? (An aside: Yes, yes, not all Republicans are bigots. We know this. We hope you do too.)

Family values!
not how i envisioned the marriage of my home ists. they're both pretty bad.
NorCal racism isn't an obnoxious as SoCal racism. Both are offensive and ridiculous. :)
Another example of our "friends" across the aisle being out of touch, small minded and ignorant.
"No racial intent intended" - yeah right just like Nixon's Southern Strategy.
Well done Republicans! You inspire me.
i dont know if the guys at http://wwww.encabrona.me are more ofensive the way they talk about palin on episode 6

Food stamps, Kool-Aid, watermelon and fried chicken aren't racist when used with a picture of Obama? Damn! Live and learn.
*snariness intended*
The Republican Party denounced these images...too little too late though.
I was driving down Fountain last night and saw someone's Halloween Decorations in a spotlight, it was a body hanging by a noose. As I got closer I saw that the dummy (pun intended) was dressed up like Sarah Palin. This is no good people. We need to be better than that, different from the republicans. Better than these tactics.
Agree southpaw. It's crap like that which is used to justify the crap seen on the GOP site.
Desperate times call for despicable measures.
Here's more on tape if you can stomach it...

Thank You.
When I first saw this story yesterday, I was thoroughly disgusted. I certainly hope the CAGOP is on this.
I will say however that the Democratic Party is not without its own racist demagogues. There have been many incidents of blatant bigotry directed towards Condi Rice, Michael Steele, Joe Lieberman, Colin Powell and others.
Though come Sunday morning, Mr. Powell may be moving from the category of Bush house negro to Democratic champion.
Imagine that.
Ok, so they denounced it and not ALL republicans are 'like this'. Shame that we hear this story all too frequently...
...and by that I meant it seems that these stories prove such backward thinking still exists in this country across BOTH parties. It's about time we drag these bigots and racists into the 21st century.
