Fire Breaks Out Near Yorba Linda & Corona

Fire in Yorba LindaDoes it ever end? A new fire, named the Sierra Fire, has broken out in the mountains abut Yorba Linda, an Orange County city northeast of Anaheim and Fullerton. The fire, first reported at 3:51 p.m., has burned two to three acres and is located two-thirds the way up Sierra Peak in or near the Cleveland National Forest, southeast of the 91 and 241 freeways. The Orange County Fire Authority is dropping water and has a number of units en route at the moment, according to a spokesperson on the phone.
