Local Flavors Set Up Shop at LAX

la_brea_bakery_lax.jpgLAX may not be the most exciting airport by any means, but small steps help. Tomorrow is the ribbon cutting for two locally based companies, Baja Fresh and La Brea Bakery, in Terminal 7 where an express version of Wolfgang Puck's has already been located for years. La Brea has been at the airport for a couple months now, offering a limited menu of sandwiches, paninis, salads, soups and homeade pastries.

Employees at both La Brea Bakery and HMSHost Corporation, the company that is contracted to manage branded concessions, hint toward more food news to come (more good food at other LAX terminals?), but say that will have to wait for a press conference tomorrow morning.

Baja Fresh will be debuting their "express" version for the airport in addition to one on campus at USC.

Over in Terminal 1, On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina, which is not a locally based chain, will be have an announcement.
